Created by artist Maria, Soft Spells exists at the intersection of creativity, ritual, and everyday life.
Each piece is designed as a quiet reminder — to soften, to return to yourself, and to carry a little light through the ordinary.
Who is writing this?
Hi there! I’m Maria, a Montreal based artist and designer guided by intuition, curiosity, and a lifelong love of symbolism.
My work is an invitation to move gently, to create personal rituals, and to let softness exist alongside strength.
Who makes up the team?
Soft Spells began as a passion project rooted in creativity, mindfulness, and a desire to make things a little softer - and a little more magical.
At the heart of the brand is Maria, the creative force behind the designs. With a background in digital experiences and a deep interest in psychology, storytelling, and intention-setting, she approaches each piece as more than a product - it’s a small ritual, a visual affirmation, or a reminder to pause and reconnect.
Behind the scenes (making funny cat videos for our Instagram) is her tech-loving husband, who supports the brand by making sure everything works the way it should - but mostly he just talks her off the ledge when she puts way too much on her plate.
Rounding out the team are their four children (read cats), who take their roles very seriously - supervising photoshoots, testing packaging durability, and reminding everyone to take breaks and stay present.
Soft Spells is proudly small, human, and intentional. Every design is created with care, every order is made thoughtfully, and every piece is meant to bring a little more good energy into the world.
